American Red Cross blood drives in Millburn have a long history of surpassing their goals and have helped countless patients in need of donated blood. Yes, the community is incredible and is extremely generous with their blood donations. We appreciate their continuous dedication to give, but we’d like to point out and thank those who make these blood drives so special.
Two wonderful men, Jack Clemence and Ed Borneman, have been the champions of the success as the volunteers coordinating the drives for many years. We commend them for their leadership and devotion to the American Red Cross.
Jack and Ed established community partners who have been supporting the drives for many years. Recently, American Red Cross New Jersey Crossroads Executive Director Christy Hodde and Volunteer Manager Marisa Hottat set out to thank several of those supporters for helping make donating blood in Millburn quite special.
The blood drives are held at the Millburn Free Public Library. Michael Banick, director, accepts the plaque presented by Marisa and Christy above.
In addition to the gorgeous setting at the library, Goldberg’s Famous Deli adds their appreciation for those giving blood with bagel donations at the drives.
Robert Gamba, manager, and Martin Wayne, owner, are pictured here with Christy and Marisa. Thank You Martin Wayne for such delicious donations!
And who doesn’t enjoy coupons and free car washes? The folks at Millburn Car Wash have been supplying these for more than 13 years and we appreciate their generosity.
Jose Velasquiz, manager, and Natasha Zotava, cashier, are pictured here with Christy and Marisa.
We are also very grateful John O’Connor, his wife Arlene and daughter Amanda are also now active in coordinating the blood drives in Millburn.
Thank you all for helping make those who are giving such a special gift, feel very special while they do! We look forward to the O’Connor family’s continued success…with a little help from their friends :).
