Devoted volunteer Victor Prasad passed away on March 17. Victor was a beloved member of the Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) since 2010 and most recently served as the Union County Volunteer Supervisor. He was a warm and compassionate person who, at a moment’s notice, would be willing to respond to an emergency to help the clients impacted by an event.  Victor was a leader and mentor to his fellow DAT members. During his tenure with the Red Cross, Victor deployed nationally to assist with recovery efforts following tornadoes, hurricanes and flooding.  In June, the American Red Cross New Jersey Crossroads presented Victor with the Outstanding Volunteer Award in recognition of his extraordinary commitment to the Red Cross and its mission.
